Paxton Scout is open to subscribers today through digital access. This update explains how to use it for drug-delivery intelligence right now: the live searches you can run, the new Outlook view, and the IPC class A61K patent feeds you can open in one click.
Digital Access for subscribers
Every digital access plan, monthly or annual, includes the Scout workspace at scout.paxton-digital.com. Choose a plan, create your account and sign in. Anyone can also try a live search on paxton-digital.com/scout before subscribing.
Search today
One Scout search covers five public sources at once: FDA drug labels, FDA adverse-event (safety) reports, FDA recalls and enforcement reports, ClinicalTrials.gov and PubMed. Try one of these to see it work on delivery technologies:
- Doxorubicin — a long-established drug with liposomal and standard injectable forms on the market.
- Patisiran — an RNA medicine delivered in a lipid nanoparticle.
- Semaglutide — a high-growth medicine with both injectable and oral tablet forms.
New: Outlook
Each search now includes an Outlook view with two parts. The IP & market outlook reads Drugs@FDA to show brand and generic approvals, the year of first brand approval, how many generic sponsors are active and which delivery forms are on the market, then classifies the market stage from brand-only to multi-source generic. The clinical outlook shows the trial pipeline (registered, recruiting, Phase 3 and with posted results), research momentum in PubMed and the trend in FDA safety reporting.
Outlook is a research summary of public records. It is not a medical prognosis for any individual and not legal or investment advice.
A61K patent feeds
Patents tell you who owns the right to make what Scout shows you. These feeds open the newest publications in each drug-delivery subclass:
- A61K 9/48 — preparations in capsules, e.g. of gelatin.
- A61K 9/50 — microcapsules.
- A61K 9/51 — nanocapsules and nanoparticles.
- A61K 9/52 — capsules of the sustained or differential release type.
- A61K 9/127 — liposomes and other synthetic bilayer vehicles.
- A61K 9/1271 — PEGylated and polymer-coated liposomes.
Every Outlook also links straight to the newest patents that mention your search term, and to the FDA Orange Book for listed patents and exclusivity.
How to use them together
- Search the drug or technology in Scout and read the Outlook.
- Open the matching A61K feed to see who is filing around it now.
